The Nyindu of the Democratic Republic of the Congo
The Nyindu of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, numbering about 16,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Bantu people of the Ulindi River area in DR Congo's South Kivu province, related to the neighboring Fuliru, Vira, Shi and Havu, whose traditional seat at Kasika was the site of a 1998 massacre during the Second Congo War.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Central-Lakes people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Roman Catholicism, and they primarily speak Nyindu.
