The Baloi of the Democratic Republic of the Congo
The Baloi of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, numbering about 42,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Bantu river people of the Congo River near Bomongo in DR Congo's Equateur province, part of the Northern Mongo/Bangi ethnolinguistic cluster, historically dominating canoe-based trade and known for large ceremonial slit drums.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Central-Congo people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Roman Catholicism, and they primarily speak Baloi.
