The Bangobango of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, numbering about 393,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Bantu-speaking people of eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo whose identity is rooted in the Bangubangu language, farming traditions, kinship networks, and cultural heritage shaped by the forests and rivers of the Congo Basin.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Central-Luba people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Bangubangu.
