The Mina of Togo
The Mina of Togo, numbering about 541,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Akan-descended people from Elmina, Ghana, who fled seventeenth-century Denkyira and Akwamu wars to found the slave-trading port of Aneho on Togo's coast, later intermarrying with the Ewe and joined by Afro-Brazilian returnees in the 1800s.
They are an indigenous people in the Guinean people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Gen.
