The Lama of Togo
The Lama of Togo, numbering about 308,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Gur-speaking people of Togo closely related to the Kabiye, who migrated in search of fertile farmland along the corridor between Sokode and Notse and later toward Lome and Cotonou in search of wage employment.
They are an indigenous people in the Gur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Lama (Togo).
