The Bijobe of Togo
The Bijobe of Togo, numbering about 6,700 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Gur-speaking people known by many names including Miyobe and Soruba, centered primarily across the border in Benin with a smaller, endangered-language community extending into Togo.
They are an indigenous people in the Gur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Miyobe.
