The Basila of Togo
The Basila of Togo, numbering about 21,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an Anii-speaking farming and herding people across roughly eighteen villages on the Togo-Benin border, named for Bassila, their largest settlement, with dialects varying enough that neighboring Anii speakers sometimes struggle to understand each other.
They are an indigenous people in the Guinean people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Anii.
