The Yiwom of Nigeria

The Yiwom of Nigeria, numbering about 29,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Chadic-speaking people also known as Gerkawa, whose place names across Tarok-speaking areas suggest a once-larger territory, before early twentieth-century migrant laborers settled land in Tarokland granted by the Timwat and Funyallang clans.

They are an indigenous people in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Ywom.
