The Yamba of Nigeria
The Yamba of Nigeria, numbering about 24,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Tikar-descended people who trace their origin to Kimi in Cameroon's Adamawa region, the last of the Tikar groups to flee westward under threat from Usman dan Fodio's jihadist forces before settling across the Cameroon-Nigeria borderlands.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Cameroon-Bamileke people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Yamba.
