The Vere of Nigeria

The Vere of Nigeria, numbering about 212,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Duru-Verre people of Nigeria's Gongola State and Cameroon whose lineage-based societies were targeted by Modibbo Adama's 1841 Fulani jihad from Yola, with hill communities retaining independence far longer than those on the plains.

They are an indigenous people in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Mom Jango.
