The Northeast Central Ijaw of Nigeria
The Northeast Central Ijaw of Nigeria, numbering about 11,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Ijaw people of one of Nigeria's oldest riverine Niger Delta clans, settled in central Bayelsa State among the Central Ijoid group alongside the Akinima, Mbiama, and Engeni clans near Ahoada.
They are an indigenous people in the Ijaw people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Biseni.
