The Maha of Nigeria
The Maha of Nigeria, numbering about 22,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Chadic people of northeastern Nigeria whose homeland lies east of the Gongola River and whose distinct identity is rooted in the Maaka language, local clan traditions, and long interaction with neighboring Hausa, Fulani, and Kanuri communities.
They are an indigenous people in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Maaka.
