The Korop of Nigeria
The Korop of Nigeria, numbering about 16,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a forest people straddling the Cameroon-Nigeria border in Cross River State, whose ancestors settled the dense Korup forest region some 3,000 to 5,000 years ago as early agriculturalists and ironworkers, giving their name to today's Korup National Park.
They are an indigenous people in the Benue people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Durop.
