The Ibeno of Nigeria

The Ibeno of Nigeria, numbering about 22,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a people of Nigeria's Niger Delta ancestrally related to the Andoni and Oron, who shared local governance with neighboring Eket before becoming its own administrative area, and who invited missionary Samuel Bill to found a Christian mission there in 1887.

They are an indigenous people in the Benue people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Ibino.
