The Hedi of Nigeria
The Hedi of Nigeria, numbering about 7,900 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Chadic-speaking people of the Mandara Mountains borderlands, whose oral tradition traces their origin to Ghwa Gula near Gulak before a subsequent migration to Ghwa Gawa, in a highland refuge region that long sheltered groups resisting conquest.
They are an indigenous people in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Hdi.
