The Mo Egon of Nigeria
The Mo Egon of Nigeria, numbering about 308,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Eggon people whose oral tradition traces origin to Ngazargamu in Borno State, joining the Kwararafa kingdom before crossing the Benue at Ibi to settle the Eggon Hills, remaining decentralized until the British set up a centralized chieftaincy in 1919.
They are an indigenous people in the Benue people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Eggon.
