The Banwinji of Nigeria
The Banwinji of Nigeria, numbering about 13,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a people of southeastern Bauchi State who migrated from the Tula hills to Bangnatana Hill near Kaltungo, later driven to higher ground or shelter among the Billiri and Loh by Dadiya attacks, resettling the plains only once peace arrived in the 1920s.
They are an indigenous people in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Bangwinji.
