The Daza of Niger
The Daza of Niger, numbering about 106,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Toubou subgroup of the central Sahara and Sahel, more numerous than their Teda kin to the north, whose ancestors lived by herding and raiding caravans rather than farming, resisting French control into the 1930s and prominent later in Chad's FROLINAT.
They are an indigenous people in the Kanuri-Saharan people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Dazaga.
