The Air Tuareg of Niger
The Air Tuareg of Niger, numbering about 539,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Tuareg people of Niger's Air Mountains whose ancestors founded the Sultanate of Agadez around 1405 to mediate clan disputes before it came under French control in 1906, with Tuareg traders historically spreading Islam and Arabic script across the Sahara.
They are an indigenous people in the Tuareg people cluster of the Arab Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Tayart Tamajeq.
