The Ashanti of Liberia
The Ashanti of Liberia, numbering about 63,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an ethnolinguistic subgroup of the Akan, one of the largest ethnic groups in West Africa, indigenous to the present-day countries of Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.
They are a diaspora people in the Guinean people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Roman Catholicism, and they primarily speak Akan.
