The Pepesa-Jwira of Ghana
The Pepesa-Jwira of Ghana, numbering about 26,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are an Akan subgroup of Ghana's Western Region speaking mutually intelligible Jwira and Pepesa dialects along the Ankobra River and Wasa lands, partially intelligible with the related Nzema and Ahanta languages.
They are an indigenous people in the Guinean people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Jwira-Pepesa.
