The Kantosi of Ghana
The Kantosi of Ghana, numbering about 3,600 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a trading people of Ghana's Upper East Region with mixed heritage tied to early Dagomba and Akan settlement, part of the Bulsa community whose caste-like trading role reflects occupational divisions common among Mande-influenced societies of West Africa.
They are an indigenous people in the Gur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Kantosi.
