The Chakali of Ghana
The Chakali of Ghana, numbering about 10,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an Indigenous Guan-related people of northwestern Ghana whose communities are centered in the Black Volta region and whose distinct identity is maintained through the Chakali language and longstanding ties to neighboring Guan populations.
They are an indigenous people in the Gur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Chakali.
