The Bassar of Ghana
The Bassar of Ghana, numbering about 225,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Gur-speaking people of northern Togo and northern Ghana who share the Ntcham language and a common cultural heritage. They are known for yam farming, clan-based social organization, and a long history of iron production.
They are an indigenous people in the Gur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Ntcham.
