The Akwapim of Ghana

The Akwapim of Ghana, numbering about 922,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a confederacy of Guan and Akan peoples in Ghana's Akwapim mountains, formed when the Guan state of Larteh joined the Akyem state of Akropong to resist the Akwamu kingdom, later named thousand groups by their defeated rival.

They are an indigenous people in the Guinean people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Neo-Pentecostalism, and they primarily speak Akan.
