The Akpafu of Ghana

The Akpafu of Ghana, numbering about 99,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Ghana-Togo Mountain refuge people of the Volta Region hills north of Hohoe in Ghana, part of the Guan family, whose Mawu ancestors historically worked as ironworking agriculturalists and speak Siwu alongside the related Lolobi and Likpe.

They are an indigenous people in the Guinean people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Siwu.
