The Northern Teke of Gabon
The Northern Teke of Gabon, numbering about 141,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Bantu people whose Anziku, or Tio, kingdom rivaled the Kingdom of Kongo from the fourteenth century until becoming a French protectorate in 1883, with a minority settled in Gabon's Haut-Ogooue province.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Northwest people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Teke-Tege.
