The Mbwisi of Gabon, numbering about 2,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Bantu people straddling the Congo-Gabon border in the Kibangou district, descended from ironworking farmers who settled the middle Ogooue region around 400-300 BC as part of the broader Bantu expansion into Gabon.

They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Northwest people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Bwisi.
