The Fernandino of Equatorial Guinea

The Fernandino of Equatorial Guinea, numbering about 13,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Creole people descended from Africans freed from slave ships by British naval patrols and resettled on Bioko Island from 1827, who intermarried with local Bubi and built the cocoa industry that gave Fernando Po its wealth.

They are an indigenous people in the Other Sub-Saharan African people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Krio.
