The Sango Riverain of Central African Republic
The Sango Riverain of Central African Republic, numbering about 65,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a riverine Ngbandi people of the upper Ubangi River known historically for fishing, ironwork, and long dugout canoes used in trade, whose Sango trade language later became the Central African Republic's national lingua franca.
They are an indigenous people in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Riverain Sango.
