The Nzakara of Central African Republic

The Nzakara of Central African Republic, numbering about 96,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a westernmost Zande-related people whose Bandia ruling clan migrated north from below the Uele River to found the Bangassou kingdom along the Ubangi River in the 1700s, adopting the Nzakara language and customs of the peoples they governed.

They are an indigenous people in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Ethnoreligion, and they primarily speak Nzakara.
