The Gbaya-Bozoum of Central African Republic, numbering about 63,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Gbaya people whose ancestors fled Usman dan Fodio's jihad in early 1800s northern Nigeria under war chief Gazargamu, later rising in a three-year revolt led by the prophet Karnu against French forced labor in 1928.

They are an indigenous people in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Roman Catholicism, and they primarily speak Gbaya-Bozoum.
