The Zulgo of Cameroon
The Zulgo of Cameroon, numbering about 48,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a montagnard people of Cameroon's Mandara Mountains north of Maroua, whose 16 villages in the Mayo-Sava department served for centuries as a highland refuge from conquest and enslavement by the surrounding plains states.
They are an indigenous people in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Zulgo-Gemzek.
