The Njeng of Cameroon
The Njeng of Cameroon, numbering about 30,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an Afro-Asiatic-speaking people, also called Nzanyi or Njanyi, settled along the Cameroon-Nigeria border near Mayo-Oulo and Mayo-Louti, within the historic reach of the Kotoko kingdom before it was absorbed into the Bornu Empire in the 19th century.
They are an indigenous people in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Nzanyi.
