The Majera of Cameroon
The Majera of Cameroon, numbering about 950 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a community confined to a single village on the Cameroon-Chad border, now mostly shifting to Lagwan or Chadian Arabic as their own highly endangered Chadic language nears extinction.
They are an indigenous people in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Majera.
