The Kera of Cameroon
The Kera of Cameroon, numbering about 15,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are an East Chadic people of northern Cameroon's Mayo-Danay and Diamare departments whose ancestors migrated from the Chari River through Mouzouk country under pressure from the Kanem and Baguirmi kingdoms, marking harvests with ritual war dances.
They are an indigenous people in the Chadic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Kera.
