The Karang of Cameroon

The Karang of Cameroon, numbering about 43,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a people of Cameroon's Rey River valley who lived as animist hunting clans some 400 years ago before an imposed Islamic kingship resettled them into trade-route farming villages, later reached by Lutheran and Assemblies of God missions across the border.

They are an indigenous people in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Karang.
