The Bamenyam of Cameroon

The Bamenyam of Cameroon, numbering about 9,700 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Bamileke chiefdom of Cameroon's Western highlands whose broader Bamileke people trace an origin narrative to the Nile region of Sudan, migrating south and west during the seventeenth century under pressure from the Chamba and Fulani.

They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Cameroon-Bamileke people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Bamenyam.
