The Bamali of Cameroon
The Bamali of Cameroon, numbering about 17,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Grassfields chiefdom of Cameroon's Ngoketunjia division founded, according to tradition, by Byiae, one of five children of the ancestor Mangeh whose siblings founded the neighboring villages of Bambalang, Bamunka, Bafanji, and Bamunkumbit.
They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Cameroon-Bamileke people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Bamali.
