The Bafanji of Cameroon, numbering about 27,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Grassfields fondom of Cameroon's Ndop Plain descended from the Fielungwe Mamgie who absorbed the neighboring Toukung people, ruled by a hereditary fon under patrilineal Tikar-descended tradition since before German annexation in 1884.

They are an indigenous people in the Bantu, Cameroon-Bamileke people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Folk Islam, and they primarily speak Bafanji.
