The Zaore of Burkina Faso
The Zaore of Burkina Faso, numbering about 68,500 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Moore-speaking Mossi community of Burkina Faso's Volta basin, part of a people whose ancestors founded the kingdoms of Ouagadougou, Tenkodogo, and Yatenga between the 11th and 15th centuries and resisted the region's spread of Islam for generations.
They are an indigenous people in the Gur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Mossi.
