The Kamba of Burkina Faso
The Kamba of Burkina Faso, numbering about 16,000 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Gurunsi people of Burkina Faso tracing origins from western Sudan through the Sahel to their present homeland by 1100 AD, who resisted Mossi slave raids for centuries and earned the name Gurunsi, meaning iron does not penetrate.
They are an indigenous people in the Gur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Kaansa.
