The Berba of Burkina Faso
The Berba of Burkina Faso, numbering about 3,900 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Gur-speaking people whose Burkina Faso community in Kompienga province traces its origin to Togo's Savanes region, part of a larger Berba (Biali) population centered across the border in northern Benin.
They are an indigenous people in the Gur people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Animism, and they primarily speak Biali.
