The Mundu of South Sudan

The Mundu of South Sudan, numbering about 57,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a South Sudanese people who entered the region in the 16th century with the Zande, Avukaya, and Baka to found Equatoria's largest historic state, oral tradition tracing their own origins to West Africa, with the 1991 Maridi battle pushing many into Congo.

They are an indigenous people in the Adamawa-Ubangi people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Mündü.
