The Miza of South Sudan

The Miza of South Sudan, numbering about 14,500 people, are Engaged yet Unreached. They are a Mizu division of the Moru people in South Sudan's Mundri County, whose oral tradition traces distant origins to West Africa, driven onto a hill near Lui by Azande attacks and Congolese slave raids, their dialect later forming the basis of written Moru.

They are an indigenous people in the Sudanic people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Moru.
