The Miri of Sudan
The Miri of Sudan, numbering about 3,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a small Nuba people of Sudan's South Kordofan whose Katcha-Kadugli-Miri speech is closely related to neighboring Katcha and Kadugli, part of the wider Nuba Mountains population that retreated to these highlands for protection and water access.
They are an indigenous people in the Nuba Mountains people cluster of the Sub-Saharan African Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Katcha-Kadugli-Miri.
