The Jiiddu of Somalia

The Jiiddu of Somalia, numbering about 53,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a riverine Rahanweyn sub-clan of Somalia's Bay and Lower Shabeelle regions, settled along the Shabelle River between Merca and Baraawe, agro-pastoral and dialectally distinct from the pastoral Samaale clans of central and northern Somalia.

They are an indigenous people in the Somali people cluster of the Horn of Africa Peoples. Their primary religion is Sunni Islam, and they primarily speak Jiiddu.
