The Kemant of Ethiopia

The Kemant of Ethiopia, numbering about 292,000 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are a Western Agaw people of the Gondar region whose traditional identity was centered on the Kemant language and a distinctive Hebraic-influenced indigenous religion. Today most Kemant are Amharic-speaking Ethiopian Orthodox Christians.

They are an indigenous people in the Agau people cluster of the Horn of Africa Peoples. Their primary religion is Tewahedo Orthodox Christianity, and they primarily speak Amharic.
