The Maji of Ethiopia
The Maji of Ethiopia, numbering about 59,500 people, are Unengaged and Unreached. They are an Omotic-speaking people of southwestern Ethiopia, also known as the Dizi, traditionally associated with the highlands around Maji and characterized by an agricultural way of life and distinct regional cultural traditions.
They are an indigenous people in the Omotic people cluster of the Horn of Africa Peoples. Their primary religion is Eastern Orthodox Christianity, and they primarily speak Dizin.
