The Kambata of Ethiopia
The Kambata of Ethiopia, numbering about 1,035,000 people, are No Longer Unreached. They are a Cushitic people of south-central Ethiopia's Kambaata Zone whose monarchy, first recorded under Emperor Yeshaq I, endured occupation by Imam Ahmed Gragn's forces in the 1500s before Menelik II incorporated the kingdom into the Ethiopian empire.
They are an indigenous people in the Sidama people cluster of the Horn of Africa Peoples. Their primary religion is Protestantism, and they primarily speak Kambaata.
